Review Metal Meets 2025 “Artificial Intelligence”

On 20.02.2025, the leading minds of the metal industry met again in Cologne for “Metal Meets” to discuss the latest topics. The eighth event in the series highlighted how the use of artificial intelligence opens up new options for companies and why collaboration between human employees and artificial intelligence plays a key role in this.

The day showed that there are already many use cases for the application of AI in our industry today that have significant potential. Key success factors for successful implementation are the involvement of specialist departments (integration of domain knowledge) and a reliable and clean database. The practical examples have made it clear: small pilot projects as a starting point achieve considerable learning effects and successfully introduce organizations to the topic of artificial intelligence.

We would like to thank all participants for their valuable contributions and many inspiring discussions. It was impressive to see what is currently being done in the metal industry to use artificial intelligence to ensure future competitiveness.
